Wedding Vendors: Who is most important for your wedding?

Friend, have a seat, get comfortable and allow me to explain why people say you absolutely need professional wedding vendors.

When I think about wedding planning, I think of it in two ways; reality and fantasy. The reality is setting a wedding budget and even more of a reality is sticking to the budget. The fantasy is the fun part, all the wedding planning; picking your theme, designing your invitations, deciding on your gown and so much more goodness.

Let’s focus on the fantasy part for just a moment and talk about the people who make that fantasy come true; your professional wedding vendors. When it’s time to plan for your wedding, there are so many aspects that you must look at. One of the most important aspects is who your wedding vendors are and how to find them. Let’s help you feel like you hit the jackpot finding your wedding vendors.

How many wedding vendors do you need?

There are so many different wedding vendors out there and on average most couples will hire 11 to 14 wedding vendors for their wedding day.

How do you find your wedding vendors?

It is so important when searching for wedding vendors to find vendors that fit into your style and can work with your budget. As you are searching and are trying to find wedding vendors to work with, I want you to remind yourself this phrase “It never hurts to ask”.

It never hurts to ask a vendor if they can create a custom package for you that is within your budget. It never hurts to ask for a referral to other vendors from a wedding vendor you have found. It never hurts to ask!

You can find wedding vendors in two different ways; through referrals and through an online search.

Referrals

Ask your friends and family if they know of any good wedding vendors. A bonus would be a wedding vendor that they have worked with and loved. Ask if they have attended any beautiful weddings to find a beautiful wedding venue. If you have already found a wedding vendor, ask them to recommend other wedding vendors to you.

As you get a list of wedding vendors through referrals or recommendations, always back it up by doing your own online research. Go to the vendors websites, their social media, online reviews and get as much information as you can to help you learn even more about them.

Online search

When searching online for a wedding vendor, start by looking up their websites, look at their galleries or pictures, and see if you like their style. If you like what you see on their website, go to their social media including Instagram and Facebook and follow them. This is where you will get the most up to date information on any events they have recently done. Most vendors will link their social media accounts on their websites. You can also put a post out on Instagram or Facebook asking your friends for recommendations.

As you do your research online, always look up and read lots of reviews and information about the vendors. If you are planning to use an out-of-State vendor, request to do video calls with them and if possible, do video tours.
